Commissions & proposals
Every commission begins with a written proposal describing scope, drawing deliverables, an indicative programme and fees. Work starts once the proposal is countersigned and the initial instalment is received.
A plain summary of how the studio contracts, invoices and delivers work. A full engagement letter is issued with every proposal and takes precedence over this page.
Every commission begins with a written proposal describing scope, drawing deliverables, an indicative programme and fees. Work starts once the proposal is countersigned and the initial instalment is received.
Fees are quoted per stage — survey and concept, design development, documentation, and site support. Instalments are invoiced at the start of each stage and are payable within fourteen days.
Plans, elevations, joinery details and schedules are issued for the named residence only. Aeterna retains authorship of all drawings; a licence to build from them is granted for that project.
The studio specifies and reviews, but does not carry out construction. Contractors, joiners and installers are engaged directly by the client unless agreed otherwise in writing.
Aeterna may photograph completed rooms for its portfolio. Addresses are never published, and any client-identifying detail is withheld or blurred on request.
Either party may pause a commission with thirty days' written notice. Work completed to that date is invoiced pro rata; unspent instalments are returned.
Write to the studio and we will answer plainly, in writing, before any fee is invoiced.
